Once you have applied color to the roots (using CE additive in your color mixture), you may need to refresh color on the ends of the hair. We do not recommend pulling color through the hair because it causes breakage and darker ends.
Mix 1/2 oz (3 capfuls) into the left over hair color and paint or massage it into the mid-shaft and ends and then begin processing for 12 minutes-NO HEAT, roots & ends DONE all at once.

I have also been using this product for over ten years. You add this to your color before you put it on your ends with the color additive and it keeps your color even from roots to end. It will shiny and the color will be perfect. Love these products.
